Welcome to the Rocking 40 Quarter Horse Ranch website. Whether you are searching for a versatility ranch horse prospect or are looking for a finished show horse, we have the expertise to help.
We have an eye on the future, a focus on today, and an appreciation for the traditions and the past history of proven foundation quarter horse lines. We do not necessarily believe in the close up line breeding of many of the foundation operations, but, try to mix that proven foundation breeding with the performance horse lines of today.
Our goal is to raise horses that are quiet, willing, and easy to train. We are also committed to continue providing our clients with the excellent service, reproductive technology, and business integrity that has made us so successful in the past . This is the kind of horses we are trying to raise for you. Good all around using horses, for the common man and woman. Something you won't be afraid to show on the weekends, or take down the trail!
Our Ranch is equipped with a 7 stall mare barn with lights and a fly control system. We provide pens bedded with fresh shavings and feed the best alfalfa available, along with supplemental feeds and Select Vitamins. A specialized feed program can be tailored to meet your horse's needs. Special care and diets are not a problem. Multiple turn out pens and several large pastures are available to accommodate the exercise needs of your horse. There is also a 90 X 220 sand arena and a 3 stall incoming mare facility. We are proud of our expertise, the cleanliness of our ranch and the quality of horse care that we provide.
We recently completed work our our 8 stall barn, at our Cochise, Arizona facility and look forward to visiting in the near future with our south eastern Arizona quarter horse friends.

2012 Ranch News
In stride with our new business model, Sherry and I decided to purchase Noble Tuff Trickster, a 2011 colt, by our old stallion Days Tuff Gold and out of Noble Cody, also a mare we owned in the past. We knew that this combo has produced some nice horses for us. The photo above is Day 1 with "Trick". The prior owner just did not have enough time for him, and when we picked him out he had not had much handling. Sherry spent about 40 minutes in his pen just working him to gain respect and get him to lead. We were able to get him to lead and load in the trailer for the ride home. See his bio page for updates on his journey from "spooky" yearling to a well behaved horse. Sherry uses the Clinton Anderson Method to train her horses.
