Shiney Nu Shoes
AQHA Mare by Shining Shoes and out of Street Corner Cash
Shiney had her first foal this year, a palomino filly by Days Tuff Gold. Tuff Nu Shoes is a gorgeous little filly! We bred Shiney to Cool Wimp for a 2012 foal. Shiney has an amazing pedigree. She was not shown as she was very sick most of her early life with serious equine gastric ulcers. We stuck by Shiney, and with the help fo UC Davis and Dr. Frank Andrews advise, we nursed her back to health. Shiney has never been broke, but, she has such a great disposition, Sherry threw a saddle on her one day, and rode her down to the arena where I was disking. (Much to my surprise!). Shiney didn't even bat an eye, just another day in paradise for her! Now bred to Cool Wimp for a 2012 foal date! |

2012 Ranch News
In stride with our new business model, Sherry and I decided to purchase Noble Tuff Trickster, a 2011 colt, by our old stallion Days Tuff Gold and out of Noble Cody, also a mare we owned in the past. We knew that this combo has produced some nice horses for us. The photo above is Day 1 with "Trick". The prior owner just did not have enough time for him, and when we picked him out he had not had much handling. Sherry spent about 40 minutes in his pen just working him to gain respect and get him to lead. We were able to get him to lead and load in the trailer for the ride home. See his bio page for updates on his journey from "spooky" yearling to a well behaved horse. Sherry uses the Clinton Anderson Method to train her horses.
